    article is vague enough but wonder if this something that would be persued further in the future. I would like to know how they found out the cars have the wrong size engines.

    Think they're officially saying a spot check of a tax disc didn't tie back to the model. Wouldn't be surprised if a guard with some cop-on decided to just trawl donedeal !!

    Given that each of the impounded cars has engine swaps, which never actually happened, signed off by garages who stamped the change of particular forms, there will be more people getting dragged into this rapidly I imagine.

    a bit in the news last night on it. Mentioned 535 and M3's down as 2 litre using false documentation. Might become a NCT check down the road. Revenue will not want to be missing out on road tax.
